Last night, the historic Castro Theater came alive to open the 2018 San Francisco International Film Festival, with a screening of Silas Howard’s beautifully tender A Kid Like Jake.
The energy of the 1,400-seat palace could be felt through its leatherette ceiling, as the Bay Area looks forward to the programming of more than 180 films and live events, showcasing a dynamic range of creative expression across community venues.
The San Francisco International Film Festival runs April 4th-17th. A full program schedule, as well as ticket information, can be found at sffilm.org.
